The WaterWorks2015 ERA-NET Cofund was launched in January 2016 and is funded by the EC under H2020. WaterWorks2015 aims at tackling water challenges at European and international levels through the development of transnational and transdisciplinary research and innovation actions.

The 2016 Joint Call, the key activity of WaterWorks2015, with an available budget of 25.5 M€ was launched on 16 February (link) and is funded by 25 funding organisations from 22 countries – with the European Commission participation. After a 2-step-procedure 21 projects were recommended for funding and started in 2017.
The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) participates in this network via FNRs funding programme “Renewable Resources”.
