IEA-AMF Newsletter 1-2022

The latest issue of the newsletter of the Advanced Motor Fuel Technology Collaboration Program (AMF TCP) of the International Energy Agency (IEA) has been published recently. This edition contains contributions from North America, Europe and Asia and outlines the global developments in advanced and sustainable transport fuels.

The issue puts an emphasis on energy security. The newsletter includes the news that India aims to reach net zero emissions by 2070. Moreover, Germany announcing a financial allocation of EUR 900 million that will be used to support the provision of green hydrogen by the H2Global Foundation is mentioned. The methanol powered mtu engines announced by Rolls-Royce Power Systems are discussed within the spotlight methanol section of the newsletter.

Additionally, the newsletter provides information about the 63rd AMF ExCo meeting held on 6th May 2022 and highlights publication of the IEA AMF Annual Report 2021. The issue also includes a comprehensive list of upcoming advanced motor fuels events.
