Forests and forestry are facing a number of expectations and challenges related to the climate change and the ecological transition of society and economy. Innovative solutions for forests and the forest-based sector will help to tackle these challenges. EUFORE paves the ground for such innovative solutions by defining the future needs for research and innovation activities in Europe, which are going to be elaborated in the SRIA.
To develop the SRIA, EUFORE consortium establishes a sustainable, transnational and inclusive cooperation platform, the stakeholder engagement hub. It is a solid cooperative basis to involve the stakeholders from all relevant sectors. Thus, it is ensured that stakeholders can express their expectations, needs and opinions towards the future research and innovation activities implemented under the SRIA.
The EUFORE partnership developed a survey to approach relevant stakeholders and learn more about them. Stakeholder come from the four branches “governance and regulators”, “industry and business”, “research” and “civil society”. Organisations that are interested to participate as a stakeholder in the process of developing the SRIA and thus to define potential topics of future research and innovation activities, are invited to fill in the survey.
The survey is available at https://surveymonkey.com/r/EUFORE. Signing up to become included in stakeholder engagement activities of EUFORE will allow stakeholders to follow and/or contribute to actions launched by the project.
