The Competence and Information Centre Forest and Wood (short KIWUH) at FNR acts on behalf of the BMEL. It pools activities related to forest and wood.

Main tasks of KIWUH include funding of research and development in the fields of forest and wood, preparation and provision of specific information from current research results and provision of citizen and consumer information.
