AllThings.Bio at the Global Bioeconomy Summit 2020

In the forerunner project of Allthings.bioPRO, which was BioCannDo, a series of video clips was produced to raise awareness of bioeconomy topics.

One of these videos is about sustainable toys for kids and shows that bio-based toys are an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic toys made of fossil resources such as coal or crude oil. This video was selected to be shown during the Global Bioeconomy Summit 2020 (16-20 November 2020).

Check out our video and all other submitted videos to the GBS2020 here.

While BioCannDo was all about increasing awareness of bio-based products, in Allthings.bioPRO we are going to put all emphasis on getting citizens involved in the bioeconomy and making their voices heard. We will focus on issues and products, which connect with the daily life of citizens and consumers. Possible themes are the creation of growth and jobs, sustainable and circular use of resources or the societal dimension of the bio-based industry in Europe but also outside Europe where the biomass products might impact societies in other countries. Consumers consider quality, functionality and the costs of products but also care about sustainable production and the environmental impact of daily life products.

In Allthings.bioPRO we will use Serious Gaming to channel citizens’ voices to the bio-based industries. The aim is to develop a serious game within a co-creation and co-design process involving both citizens and experts.

FNR, as project coordinator, will develop various thematic materials and is responsible for the valorisation of results.

Project duration: September 2020 to August 2023
