In September 2020, the new EU project Allthings.bioPRO will be launched, aiming at developing a serious online game on a number of different bioeconomy topics.
A serious game is not only meant to entertain its users but also offers information and education on a specific topic to a broad public. Allthings.bioPRO will use this tool to give users the opportunity to learn about bioeconomy related topics on the one hand and give their preferences, opinions and ideas about them on the other hand. The results will help stakeholders to meet consumers’ expectations and requirements when developing their products. Main topics will include bio-based food packaging, sustainable fashion, sustainable and bio-based products for kids and schools as well as jobs and careers in the bioeconomy.
Apart from the serious game, the project will develop a smartphone app, which will provide useful information about the vast variety of bio-based applications and products in our daily life.
Towards the end of the project, interested citizens will have the opportunity to join a Citizen Action Network that will develop opinions of citizens on bioeconomy related topics on a regular basis.
FNR, as project coordinator, will develop various thematic materials and is responsible for the communication of results.
