End of July 2021, the current newsletter of the Advanced Motor Fuel Technology Collaboration Program (AMF TCP) of the International Energy Agency (IEA) was published. This edition contains contributions from North America, Europe and Asia. One main focus of this issue is on recent developments in regulations such as the European Commission’s ‘Fit for 55’‑Package, research and development funding schemes for biofuels in the United States, Indonesia’s diesel fuel policy as well as on electrification in Canada and Japan. In addition, a spotlight on sustainable aviation fuels is given, with examples from The Netherlands and Brazil. The newsletter furthermore provides information about the latest results from AMF tasks as well as from current and future activities.
