New review articles on anaerobic digestion from waste and Fischer-Tropsch synthesis & new video published

ETIP Bioenergy has recently published two new review articles. A technology review focuses on biogas production by anaerobic digestion from waste and residues (according to the REDII, Annex IX A) and how to process different organic waste streams and convert them to transportation fuel. The article can be accessed here: https://www.etipbioenergy.eu/images/ETIP_Bioenergy_Biogas_publications_review.pdf

The second article presents a review of the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. This review summarises recent experimental, commercial/demo/pilot and techno-economic publications of the Fischer-Tropsch technology based on feedstocks that qualify for REDII Annex IX A with a focus on sectors that are deemed more difficult to be decarbonised in the short-term, such as long-distance transport, aviation and shipping. A new video highlights key aspects of the ETIP Bioenergy and the need of bioenergy to contribute to a successful energy transition. Interested parties are invited to get involved and become an active member of the platform. Please follow the link to watch the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXI0iL0zDqc

FNR coordinates the H2020 project ETIP Bioenergy-SABS 2, which supports ETIP Bioenergy and the activities of the platform.

Duration of the project: 09/2018 – 08/2021

The project ETIP Bioenergy-SABS 2 has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 825179.
