The European Commission has launched several new consultations recently which will impact the direction and implementation of the next research framework programme, Horizon Europe, and offer feedback opportunities on aspects of the Common Agricultural Policy. This is your opportunity to provide input!
- Have your say on shaping the way the next European research and innovation programme, Horizon Europe, is implemented (deadline 15 September 2019): How should Horizon Europe be implemented, to ensure that it achieves its ambitious objectives? Where can we simplify further? How should we deal with the novel features in the new programme? What should the legal documents, processes and tools for the programme look like? The results of the survey will feed into discussions at the European Research and Innovation Days in Brussels from 24 to 26 September 2019.
- Consultation Partnership for a Circular bio-based Europe (deadline 27 August 2019): This initiative aims to support sustainability-driven innovation in creating new local value from waste and biomass. It will focus on helping develop sustainable and climate-neutral technologies and replacing non-renewable fossil and mineral resources with biomass and waste to obtain renewable products and nutrients.
- Consultation EU farm policy – impact on sustainable management of the soil (deadline 27 August 2019). This evaluation will assess the extent to which the EU’s farm policy (the common agricultural policy) has helped farmers manage the soil more sustainably.
