Consumers still have many questions when it comes to bio-based products. What kind of bio-based products are available already and what properties do these products have? Does a bio-based soap clean and feel just as a regular soap? What alternatives do bio-based products offer to replace disposable products such as plastic straws and tableware? Are bio-based toys as safe and durable as conventional plastic toys?
These and other questions are answered by the AllThings.Bio portal with a second series of social media videos. In four short and entertaining videos bio-based soaps, straws, plates and toys are presented and important consumer questions about their use and their properties are answered. In a first series of videos bio-based cleaning products, coffee mugs, T-shirts and lipsticks were presented earlier in 2018.
The AllThings.Bio videos can be viewed here.
The AllThings.Bio portal is managed by the Bioeconomy Awareness and Discourse Project (BioCannDo), which is coordinated by FNR. BioCannDo develops and distributes to the general audience communication and educational materials about the bioeconomy. The ultimate goal of the project is to develop clear and scientifically sound messages about bio-based products which can be easily understood by a general audience so to increase their acceptance of bio-based materials.
The AllThings.Bio videos have been published in the framework of the BioCannDo project. The BioCannDo project has received funding from the Bio Based Industries Joint Undertaking under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 720732.
