The ForestValue Call for Proposals 2017 is now finished, and the final joint selection list of projects recommended for funding includes 17 trans-national projects.
The projects’ overall costs totalling around EUR 26.1 million with a total public funding request of around EUR 21.5 million. After grant negotiations with the respective national funding agencies 152 research teams from 14 European countries (Austria, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and UK), Argentina and Canada will start the joint research work in early 2019.
The Federal Ministry for Food and Agriculture (BMEL) will provide ca. EUR 4.4 million via the Agency for Renewable Resources (FNR) for the German partners in 12 projects.
FNR has been managing the Call Secretariat; together with the Finnish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Austrian Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism, and has been guiding the applicants through the application procedure.
