From 15 to 18 November 2022, the Agency for Renewable Resources (FNR) will share information at EnergyDecentral trade fair in Hanover on various biogas topics, in particular the fermentation of farmyard manure. As well as the flexibility of biogas plants and their integration into municipal energy systems.

The Storage Power Plants Forum will take place on all four days of the trade fair, organised jointly by DLG Service GmbH, the “Flexperten” network and the FNR. Within the forum "Special Manure Fermentation", FNR will report on the investment promotion programme for farmyard manure of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL).

At the FNR booth in the exhibition hall 5, visitors can inform themselves about farmyard manure fermentation. BMEL is promoting various measures aiming at increasing the substrate share of farmyard manure in biogas plants and thus reducing emissions from livestock farming. Moreover, information on current research projects to reduce methane emissions in agriculture will be shared, which the BMEL is currently supporting with a total funding volume of € 5.3 million.
