For now almost 20 years there is a successful EU collaboration in the forest based sector. The ERA-Net projects, starting with WoodWisdom developing over different other projects to now ForestValue2, have contributed a lot to transnational cooperations and meaningful research in the forest and wood sector. A summary of all achievements can be found in the ForestValue publication: 'From wood wisdom to wood values and beyond'.
A significant part of the publication is devoted to brief presentations of all research projects funded under the two ForestValue calls for proposals. The icing on the cake, so to speak, are the contributions from eminent experts and coordinators of past and current projects. They share their experiences and expert opinions not only on the achievements of individual transnational project collaborations, but also on the impacts achieved on the development of research and innovation in the forest based sector, on societal and bioeconomic development, and on the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
FNR is an important partner of this EU collaboration that started as WoodWisdom and now is active under ForestValue.
