In the capacity of the SCAR Bioeconomy WG Chair, FNR participated as rapporteur in workshop organised by the Circular Biobased Joint Undertaking aiming to prepare the establishment of a CBE JU Deployment Group on Primary Producers.

The CBE JU aims to improve the participation of primary sector stakeholders in research and innovation projects and wants to foster primary sector involvement in innovative bio-based value chains developed within CBE JU projects.

During a participatory workshop on 28.2.2024 representative of the forestry, agriculture and marine primary sector and other relevant experts were invited to provide ideas how a Deployment Group on Primary Producers should be established, the type of stakeholders who should be involved as well as the type of actions which should be implemented by such a group.

Results developed by the Deployment Group should directly improve the current involvement of the sector and provide recommendations for the CBE JU Governing Board.
